Trainer Director - Elizabeth Chaney
A biology graduate of the University of Delaware, Elizabeth Chaney extended her technical knowledge of flora and fauna into a specific expertise in canines. She partnered with her German Shepherd "Ella" to achieve the highest title in the dog sport of Schutzhund. A certified handler for the FEMA task force, Urban Search and Rescue Virginia Task Force 1, Elizabeth trained her canine partner Harpo for national and international deployment to assist in disasters, and is currently training canine Xpo for the same discipline.
In 1999 Elizabeth began her own canine training business. She joyfully "went to the dogs" when she left her "real job" as a marketing representative for a pharmaceutical company to start her own fledgling canine training business. From a single canine training field surrounded by soybeans and corn, her business evolved into the comprehensive pet care facility that is today; serving the Washington DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis metropolitan areas. In 2002 with few resources, clear objectives, hard work, little construction experience, and a great deal of perseverance, Elizabeth successfully served as her own general contractor to build her dream, the 16,000 square foot facility that offers an array of top quality services for canines and felines.
Through her visions and thoughtful planning and design, Perfect Pet Resort opened its doors on March 7, 2003. Since then Elizabeth and Perfect Pet Resort have hosted five large scale Pet Expos for the enjoyment and education of the community at large and for pet lovers in particular.
Perfect Pet Resort has been recognized by the Washingtonian Magazine as one of the best boarding facilities in the Washington DC area. What's Up Magazine in Annapolis, Maryland recognized Perfect Pet Resort as the top Pet Services and Pet Boarding in the Annapolis area multiple times. In addition, Perfect Pet Resort has been featured in several local papers and magazines as well as in The Washington Post and Chesapeake Family's Green Guide.

Christy Faber
Christy Faber has 26 years of professional experience training and competing horses at the upper levels and teaching people in the equestrian sport of eventing. Twelve years ago when her first Border Collie, Rowdy, entered her life she discovered the great sport of dog agility. Christy took Rowdy to the elite level of competition in NADAC, qualifying for the nationals and competed in the USDAA trials. Now retired, Rowdy taught Christy's husband Jim the game and continues to teach Christy's students finer points.
Currently, Christy is competing her 3 year old Border Collie, Mikey, and her 1 1/2 year old Jack Russel Terrier, Toby, in NADAC trials. She is training a variety of breeds in agility, is involved with training foxhounds for sport and show, and finds great reward in helping people discover the bond that can evolve with their canine friend through the teamwork of Agility.
